You sneaky little... *squint* :)

I don't know about way easier than it looks. I tried doing fish wrapped in potatoes once and it was a disaster. So did a lot of other folks who tried that same recipe from Bon Appetit a couple of years ago. Perhaps par frying them does the trick a bit better.

Loved the asparagus tip - I don't know why I haven't been doing that with asparagus, but even more significantly, with my herbs!

I love the post from Matador Network. It was cracking me up, even while being incredibly well thought out.

That sweet & sour chicken looks incredible. I must try it next week for dinner.

And thanks for the plug! I wondered where all that traffic was coming from today!

Great links again, Dan. Asparagus tips, har har. Seriously though, that's great to know - I've had some asparagus expire once or twice. And funny you should mention yogurt - I'm currently incubating my own. You're right - preposterously easy. Unless you're a careless cook, in which case the milk always boils over...ahem.

I have to add one to the food absolutist front: You can cure all disease with food. Nope, doesn't happen that way.

Conversely, if you get sick, clearly you brought it on yourself with lifestyle and diet. What a way to blame the victim.

Do I think a healthy diet can influence health? Well, yes. It's when people take this to mean that all disease will go away if you eat totally organic, low-fat, low-carb, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, etc. -- that's when I want to scream.
