The cookbooks post was one of the first ones I read here....it actually might have been what brought me here! I was newly married with a shelf of cookbooks I had no idea how to use in March 2008. Double pneumonia plus allergic responses to the medication for it.<br />6 saltine crackers smeared with real butter and about 2-3 tablespoons of hot water poured over the crackers to make them mushy. Tastes good going down and like nothing coming back up. Easy way to read the archives.<br /><br />I have been working on using my cookbooks instead of thinking I need new ones. However, QUESTION, do cookbooks go out of date? Because a old recipe is based on ingredients that might be much different now or way of preparing recipes is different, will the results be much different?
