It sounds like what you've got is a flavored and possibly spicy olive oil for dipping bread.

This post is a pasta sauce recipe. If you're looking to make this recipe for arrabbiata sauce, don't use your flavored olive oil in it as an ingredient--just use regular olive oil.

I hope that helps!

DKDanielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02388302796031288076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-81498386018136036822012-08-14T14:52:23.050-07:002012-08-14T14:52:23.050-07:00Hi Daniel,

How much should I use of this to make a pasta sauce? Should I still add garlic and other spices? Also, can I use this olive oil to saute various veggies such as zucchini? That's how I had this initially at a restaurant. They served it to dip the bread in. Thank you.Debra Riddlenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-76883216288801601542012-07-02T10:25:49.313-07:002012-07-02T10:25:49.313-07:00Reena, thanks for taking time to share your feedba...Reena, thanks for taking time to share your feedback. I had been searching for a good one that tastes like the one Mario Batali sells in the jars, and came across your recipe. It tastes just like it and is much cheaper than buying it at the store. Good luck and let me know how it comes out.

DKDanielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02388302796031288076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-16782250124037773192011-10-19T14:29:39.893-07:002011-10-19T14:29:39.893-07:00I tried this (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/arrabbi...I tried this (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/arrabbiata-sauce/detail.aspx) recipe, and it turned out too watery & chunky, without enough flavor.
