This particular recipe was an outlier, which fortunately yielded a really good modified version.

Wosnes, thank you! I always appreciate when a reader takes the time to leave feedback, and I'm happy to hear you're enjoying those regular CK features. I'll keep 'em coming.

DKDanielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02388302796031288076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-2496226911774500042010-08-24T09:55:42.272-07:002010-08-24T09:55:42.272-07:00Retro Sundays and Friday Links are my favorite pos...Retro Sundays and Friday Links are my favorite posts each week.

I find that many "bacon wrapped" recipes sound great -- but the recipes often aren't as good as they sound. I have to agree with Melissa about Elise's recipes. I don't know how many I've tried, but only a few didn't work out or I didn't like.

I think a lot of the reason that people spend more than you would think on groceries is what I'd have to call impulse shopping. Lime Chipotle Shrimp. Serve over rice. Just sounds better to me.

Regardless, I'm glad you put that disclaimer in there about Elise's recipes 'cause otherwise we'd be fighting hehe. I've made 17 (I think, at least count) of her recipes and 14/17 were great. I trust her more than any other "biggie" food blogger out there.

And that food spending topic never ceases to be interesting, eh?Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12439733116558336290noreply@blogger.com
