". Which I am pretty sure you didn't. Dan.

Anon also misunderstands your point, because the piece wasn't about "becoming more independent from wage income." It was about the different kinds of income and how they are treated by the US tax code. In fact, I believe you said so explicitly.

I think Anon's just trying to start an argument. It's Monday ... no arguments on Monday!chacha1http://www.ombailamos.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-9595350685019624862012-10-01T05:58:20.085-07:002012-10-01T05:58:20.085-07:00Anonymous, you're getting closer. A huge one.

Readers, can any of you see what's wrong with Anonymous' assumptions?

DKDanielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02388302796031288076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-9846723445162435082012-10-01T05:11:45.777-07:002012-10-01T05:11:45.777-07:00I don't think I did. I understand your point ...I don't think I did. I understand your point was how to increase one's own family's financial wellbeing by becoming more independent from wage income. But you are certainly making the assumption that paying less taxes is a good thing. Otherwise having the tax code "work for us" would be a rather irrelevant thing to say, and having a particular means of investment avoiding Medicare and SS taxes wouldn't be phrased as a perk. (All of which are perfectly fine things to believe, of course, but you can't pretend you're in some magical realm outside of politics.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37886248.post-45160646557214548592012-09-30T13:54:20.961-07:002012-09-30T13:54:20.961-07:00Anon, I'm afraid you've utterly missed the...Anon, I'm afraid you've utterly missed the point of this post.
