CK Friday Links--Friday March 26, 2010

Greetings readers! This week features a slightly briefer-than-normal Friday links, since this week and next we've left Santiago and are now on the road, enjoying a week and a half long road trip to northern Chile. Right now, we are in the quaint and friendly town of Vicuña. This is an amazing country!

Here's yet another selection of particularly interesting links from around the internet. As always, I welcome your thoughts and your feedback.

Hi there! I'm slightly obsessed with cooking/nutrition blogs and stumbled upon yours, looking forward to seeing your posts on my Google reader! I actually live in Valparaiso, Chile, moved here about a month ago to teach English at a university here. Was in Vicuña two weeks ago, soooo beautiful. Make sure you head to a pisco vineyard! Enjoy the rest of your time in Chile!

P.S... thanks for the link on dried beans, I am so used to using mainly canned beans (which are basically non-existent here) so I'm trying to get the hang of prepping/cooking dried beans here!

Hola Tara!
Happy to oblige, that post on beans was definitely linkworthy--it was from my blogging colleague Charmian Christie who runs a great site. We are finding the same thing that you are in Chile: dried beans are easy to find and really cheap, while canned beans are nearly impossible to find.

You are lucky to live in Valparaiso! We loved it there and were sorry to have to leave so soon.
