Some of those were very interesting. I enjoy the gender pay gap ones.

Mostly because they are always trying to "explain it away".

In engineering? That pay gap is 7%.

And it spreads as you get older. At my level in engineering?

It's 13%. That, by the way, is approximately $17,000 a year. That's real money.

The pay gap exists with women engineers only TWO YEARS out of undergrad, with NO husband and NO children. It may only be 3% at that point, but it grows and grows.

If I hear someone argue that women "don't negotiate" one more time I'll scream! Women are very often penalized for negotiating. Seen as "aggressive" or "bitchy" or "not a team player". Boy do I have stories of men "negotiating" and getting promoted, and women getting "let go" for doing the same. We can't even "negotiate like a man" because it comes off differently.
